Western's halftime lead of 57-43 slipped away in the second half. Florida Atlantic scored a layup at the buzzer to win the game 90-88.

Attendance at Florida Atlantic was 509.

Western will be home twice this week:
Tuesday, Nov 25 vs UMKC at 11AM (Elementary School Day)
Saturday, Nov 29 vs North Dakota at 4:30PM

So here's the problem as I see it! Tied at 88, 4.9 seconds on the clock which is a lot of time. Owls are in the double bonus so any foul equals 2 shots. If you don't call time out it becomes a scramble situation that most of the time results in a good shot and/or foul because you are out of position. If you do call time out the opposition, down 2 can get better organized for their final shot. Looks like Necks were in a 2-2-1. Owl player just took off like a bat out of hell, beat first player (forced her to turn completely around) and then took Luke on who basically was forced to stand with her hands straight up, and Gorrell, FAU's best player made the play. Necks just scored with too much time on the clock but who would have known that. Great one on one move by a very good player. IMO! Sometimes "sh-t" happens! (Use an I or an O, which ever you think fits the bill.). ;) jc
