The game today (12/3, 11 AM CT) is a "should win" but on the road it is never easy. Plus the Redhawks will have a little extra support because it is a "Grade School" game. Also of note, SEMO is coached by former Macomb HS standout Ty Margenthaler, son of former WIU Men's Head Coach Jack Margenthaler.

Seal is on it today. I was just going to post that the game was free. By the way, pretty sure the guys game is free tomorrow night and will post in that thread when started. Our write-up says pay-per-view, but was able to watch Akron's game for free last night on their site.

Is this "Grade School Day" a new promo this year? I think it's a great concept and hope it continues.

Someone mentioned to me that it was a thing that Eastern Illinois has done for at least a year or so. We did it last week for our home game on Tuesday, SEMO did it today at their place. It is a great idea for weekday games that would not likely get many other fans. The way the announcer mentioned the attendance made it sound like 1600+ is really good for one of their women's home games, just like our 1400+ was a record for us.

It is a great idea also. I think they should host a McDonough High School day and encourage kids to come for free as a field trip to WIU as it will help get local students interested in the school. Also, couldn't hurt to make those who did not know it aware that WIU is a DI school.

Haha, how many times have we all heard from co-workers and friends that they thought WESTERN was D-II.

My nephew attends school at the U of I and made reference to the Illini beating Youngstown State. He said "Yeah we beat Youngstown, but the're not even D-I".

Can't wait to hear what he says next season when I go over to UofI to watch the Necks take on the Illini.
