Kind of disappointing that they have lost 2 games to the last place team. Hopefully the can win today.

Took it on the chin again today. I just looked at schedule. 12 of last 15 conference games are on the road. That is more than brutal.

The best word to describe this weekend series with IPFW is "DISAPPOINTING".

The last place team in the conference comes into Macomb and sweeps the three game series by scores of 9-1 on Friday, 11-5 on Saturday, and 8-1 on Sunday.

Today was the half-way point in the conference season. As Seal Hall has mentioned, of the 15 remaining conference games, 12 will be on the road. Only the series with Omaha on graduation weekend will be at home.

Sunday's weather was 75 degrees and sunny.

Attendance at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium was 211.

Summit League Standings after Week 5 (half-way point):
Oral Roberts 12-3
South Dakota State 9-6
Omaha 8-7
Western 7-8
North Dakota State 5-10
IPFW 4-11

Western's next game will be Wednesday night (April 20) at SIU-Edwardsville. Game time is 7PM.

The Summit League conference tournament will be played May 25-28 at Oral Roberts.

Are they letting all six teams in the tournament this year? The web site leads me to believe that is the case.

Last year's tournament was a 4-day affair with the top 4 teams playing a double-elimination tournament.

Not sure about this year's tournament.

Due to rain in the forecast, Western's baseball game at SIU-Edwardsville set for Wednesday night (April 20) has been postponed.

The two teams will play a doubleheader next Wednesday (April 27) at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium. It's currently scheduled as two 7-inning games, starting at 3 p.m.

Western will start a three-game series with North Dakota State on Friday. Game 1 will be Friday at 6:30 PM.
