WIU-Illinois question

Hey guys! I don't post too often but i had a question about the Illini game.

I found some VERY VERY cheap tickets on the WIU sideline and was wondering if anybody had any leads on free parking around the area? The cheapest parking pass I've found was more expensive than our tickets. It's my first time going to an Illini game. I have been at the stadium for a band competition in high school but obviously never had to park. Just wondering if anybody had any recommendations.

Thanks in advance!

I think last time I went to a game there I parked a few blocks away over near the Armory and walked with the band to the stadium. Not sure if that'll work this time around, but here's some resources:
Parking map: http://www.parking.illinois.edu/visitor ... arking-map
From the parking regulations page:
After 5pm Friday through 6am Monday, parking is permitted in the following lots free of charge.
B1 – Springfield Avenue between Mathews & Goodwin
B17 – Harvey Street between Clark & Main
C09 – Chalmers & Sixth
D09 – Illinois & Lincoln
E14 – First Street & Kirby (this one is closest to the stadium)
F23 – Lincoln & Florida (this one is a few blocks east of the stadium)
F28 – Peabody & Dorner Drive
B04 – University & Mathews
F29 – Gregory & Dorner Drive

MobileMeter App: http://www.mobilemeter.us/

I also had a question for anyone familiar with the stadium seating. What section is the "visitor's section"? Is it 109?

Just got my tickets. Section 108, row 6, near the end of the row right across the aisle from the visitor's section. Looks like I'll be about 4 rows in front of you, Dustin.

Sounds like parking around Hessel park might be the best option.

Awesome! I'm glad we won't be the only ones wearing purple in that section!

Yup. There'll be at least 3 of us wearing purple (myself and my parents). We're also taking my sister-in-law to the game, but I'm not sure what colors she's going to wear. She's from Macomb and her dad's a professor at WIU, but she got her bachelors at U of I and was in the Marching Illini for 4 years. Then again, she also got her MBA from WIU last year, so she'll probably have somewhat split loyalties.
