The positives Abraham has brought in the last 4 weeks since arriving July 1 are more positives than we've seen in a very, very long time. Keep this guy long term!

The distance between simple talk and proven results is somewhere between infinitesimal and infinity. Much too early to get the yardstick out.

I would agree sealhall74, but already the attitude and morale is changing, a good sign that many have hope where before there was none.

The last New Student Orientation for Fall 2019 started today (August 1).

I was at the University Union today. One of the Orientation leaders told me that there were 23 students in this orientation group.

Transfer students will be on campus today. This is in addition to the other SOARS that took place earlier in the summer. 23 more is 23 more in the positive. The new admissions guy seems to be thinking out of the box! ;) jc

Western is now having representatives present at the Macomb Amtrak station on these Orientation days. The rep's pick up those riding the Amtrak down for the Orientation.

They are now paying for train tickets for orientation and Discover Western activities! Great idea in my opinion! ;) jc

And after they get on campus, if we can keep them from hopping on the train every Friday PM to go home, life will be good.
Embrace the pace of the race.

I wonder if they're able to get a deal from Amtrak...group rate, or something. You gotta figure, more students at Western means more students using the Amtrak route to head back north every now and then.
