That JMU vs UNI score was actually 17-0. UNI didn't score, but their defense held one of the top teams in the FCS to 10 points until the last couple of minutes. UNI went for it on 4th down deep in their own territory near the end, turned it over on downs at their own 1 yard line, and JMU was able to punch it in the final yard for the extra 7.

Also, in the late game, Weber State took down Montana 17-10.

OOOOPS, I made a typo-error. I knew it was 17-0 as I was watching that game. I need to proof-read things before I click on "Submit".

#3 Weber State beat #6 Montana 17-10. Attendance at Weber State = 6,422.

Weekend for defense, I suppose. Highest score for anyone in the FCS was Montana State with 24 and none of the 3 MVFC teams made it into the end zone.

I'm not saying this will happen with WIU, but a lot wanted Elliott fired after 2 seasons, saw a stat during the Weber St game that their coach won 8 games in his first 2 season (Elliott has 6), and has now been in the playoffs 4 straight seasons.

Ha...in DIII, you have two teams that are only about 80 miles from each other: North Central College is in Naperville, and Whitewater is a bit south of halfway between Milwaukee and Madison (might actually be faster to get to the IL border than to get to downtown Milwaukee from Whitewater)...and they have to travel to a suburb of Houston to play their game. If there was a domed football stadium in the north suburbs or Rockford, it'd be like an hour drive (or less) for both teams.

NAIA isn't quite as bad, but you still have two midwestern schools playing down south. Midpoint between Sioux City, IA and Indianapolis is essentially the Mississippi River just down a little from Muscatine.
