As some of you may know a bear has been making his way south coming down through western Illinois I see that he was spotted near blandinsville this morning.

The bear was spotted by two different people today heading south a mile or two west/southwest of Blandinsville. One video showed him crossing route 9 (highway that goes Good Hope-Blandinsville-LaHarpe) about halfway between Blandinsville and LaHarpe. Another spotted him crossing a field on the McDonough/Hancock County border southwest of Blandinsville. I'm assuming he won't get close to Macomb due to the bypass being around that area of town, but it's possible he's made his way nearly to 136 by now, maybe between Tennessee and Carthage. At least, that's the nearest wooded area in the direction he was headed.

Oh, what a scary beast! And we had all the bears beaten by kangaroos :)
