At the present time, many NAIA colleges are planning to proceed with their 9-game Fall regular season. The NAIA has reduced the regular season down to 9 games (from 11). And their national championship game has been moved to the spring.

Culver-Stockton College (Canton, MO) will start its season on September 12 at Missouri Valley College. First home game will be September 19 vs Evangel University.

The only NAIA Football game that gets national television coverage is the National Championship game. But the NAIA could get considerably more attention this season if they will be the only game in town.

That's surprising to me that they're going ahead with it. NAIA schools are, in general, going to have fewer resources for frequent testing, and aren't going to be bringing in all the tv/broadcast money that FBS schools do.

Kansas Wesleyan is a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).

The Head Coach at Kansas Wesleyan is Myers Hendrickson (former Western football player).

The Offensive Coordinator at Kansas Wesleyan is Mike Famiglietti (former Western football player).

The Running Backs Coach at Kansas Wesleyan is Mark Hendrickson (former Western Football Head Coach).

Today, the KCAC Board of Presidents approved changes to the Football schedule. The original plan was to play the 9 regular season games in the fall. The NAIA had already moved the National Championship game to the spring.

Now teams will play their planned schedule through October 31. This will be 7 or 8 games for each conference team depending on when their Bye week occurs.

November 7, 14, and 21 would be set aside as scheduled make-up dates to help teams complete their seven to eight games in Fall 2020. The first games canceled, if any, would have priority with re-scheduling.

**If no makeup games are needed by teams scheduled to play in Week 10, then they move forward with playing on Nov. 7.

**If no makeup games are needed by teams scheduled to play in Week 11, then they move forward with playing on Nov. 14.

**Saturday, Nov. 21 is set aside as a make-up date to be used at the discretion of the schools as it might conflict with final exams.

This model accounts for potential Spring 2021 practice and games along with at least one makeup date (potentially more depending on what transpires in Fall 2020).

Football practice starts on August 15. First game will be on September 12.

Nebraska football coach Scott Frost is considering setting up an independent fall football schedule. Iowa and Ohio State may be interested in joining them.

The Big Ten has officially postponed their fall sports season.

EDIT - and the Pac 12 through the end of the calendar year, which also means non-conference basketball doesn't look likely for them either.

Add in the Big South to the "delaying" fall sports and trying for spring list.
That includes North Alabama, which would have been WIU's first opponent in football this season.

EDIT - looks like they're technically allowed to schedule up to 4 non-conference games, so our game against them could still be on, but I just can't see that actually happening.
Personally, I think the FCS schools should just look to maybe having a shortened conference-only schedule in the spring, then all the OOC contracts, just look at changing the date to one further down the road that will work.

Also, just saw this...
