Tough to find much on the Clarendon site.  I think they are primarily an AG school out in the panhandle somewhere.  NJCAA does have some stats to look at. Like the rest of the guys coming in, not much of a stat sheet filler up but you cant coach size and where there is size, there is potential waiting to be tapped.  Interestingly, he led their team in 3PT FG% this season.  How reliable are these stats?  lol

Originally committed to Portland for Terry Porter.  Played 2 games in the 19-20  season.

247 had him as a 3 star.  Had offer from Air Force and interest from TCU and Minnesota.

A little bit more excitement with these additions, but guess you never know who's going to step up or pan out.

West can score, rebound, and throw it down.  Might not be as easy to get to the rim at the D1 level, but excited about this dude.  Originally D2 at Goldey-Beacom in Delaware, where he averaged 12 points and 6 boards and had 36 blocks with 27 steals through 16 games.  2 years at Blackhawk where he continued to score, rebound, and play some D.

Gabriel was originally with at Bradley, played in 12 games and was dismissed for breaking team rules.  No specifics, but looks like he turned things around at Highland and getting another D1 shot.  Young kids make mistakes and deserve second chances and hopefully he's a better person for it.  Kid has nice size and looks to be able to score, play D and board!!!!

Touched in Collinsworth previously, but originally a 3 star by 247 who committed to Portland.  Couple Juco stops and now hoping he can help protect the rim at WIU.  Not sure of the scoring info WIU posted, but he looks to have averaged 4.2 points a game and nowhere near 13.6 (his minute per game).  His points per 40 minutes was only 12.4, so again not sure.  Didn't play much for minutes at either stops and not a ton of rebounds, but 53 blocks in those limited minutes.

Anderson looks like an athlete and solid get for the future.  If hoops don't workout, the kids a pretty good WR!!!!

Thanks for the information; if they play near me in the Indy area, might look to make a trip.

Just noticed that we added 6'8" Junior Forward Elijah Farr to the roster: https://goleathernecks.com/sports/mens- ... farr/20167

Did a bit of digging and here's his history:
  • From Lee's Summit, MO (KC area), starting 3 years in football and 4 years in basketball.
  • Spent 2018 on the the Missouri State football team: https://missouristatebears.com/sports/f ... -farr/4979 although didn't see the field as a true freshman that season. Was recruited in part of Coach Dave Steckel's last recruiting class at Missouri State.
  • Decided to switch to basketball and spent a year at Olney Central College (JUCO in Olney, IL...far southeastern Illinois): https://www.olneycentralathletics.com/s ... ahfarrtnxv
  • Joined Murray State last year, but didn't end up seeing the court (according to the Murray State message board, due to personal reasons): https://goracers.com/news/2021/4/14/men ... tball.aspx
  • As near as I can tell, listed as a Junior, should have 2 years of eligibility remaining (I think).

I like.  We have some size, plenty of potential, athleticism and depth on paper.  I have high hopes in Coach Jeter and he'll have these boys ready to rock.

We do have good size, especially from the guards.  Massner plays bigger than his listed 6'2" IMO.  Only 5 guys listed as F/C though.  We might need that size.  ORU got a transfer center from Arkansas (Connor Vanover) who started a lot of games during his two years there.  They are listing him at 7'5".  He must still be growing.

Embrace the pace of the race.

Regarding the open position, I saw a tweet that sounds like Allan Hanson will be joining our coaching staff, probably in Coach Irvin's position.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/allan-hanson-66181351

Allan Hanson had most recently been the HC at Nicolet HS in Glendale, WI (suburb of Milwaukee) since 2016. Hanson played for Jeter at Milwaukee for 3 years at the beginning of Coach Jeter's tenure there (mid '00s), and after his playing time was up, he spent a few years coaching HS basketball before joining Jeter's staff the last couple of years he was there. At UW-Milwaukee he spent time as Director of Men's Basketball Operations and also as video coordinator.

Yes, Coach Jeter introduced Coach Al Hanson as their new Assistant Coach this past Monday at Sports Corner at the Downtown Athletic Club luncheon. Coach Jeter was excited to announce his hiring as he said he likes to have his former point guards that have played for him previously as assistants because he feels they have an excellent handle on what he wants from his point guards and will help tremendously in coaching our current guards on the team. He also said from his high school and AAU coaching in and around Milwaukee, he will be an excellent recruiter for us. Sounds like a great hire!!
