More good news from Fargo: South Dakota State beat North Dakota State 8-1 in the second game of Friday's double-header. North Dakota State finishes the regular season with a 15-15 record.
Western's record is now 15-14. A win on Saturday would give Western a 16-14 record and a spot in the conference tournament.

So lets get it done for crying out loud!! I have been in situations like this. My comment to my players was, "Gentlemen, we have come so far, now its up to you to make it happen. We know what its all about, the door is wide open and all we have got to do is no matter what, step thru!!! Lets go!!!!!!"

Western won Saturday's game 13-3.
Western jumped out to a 11-0 lead. The game was stopped after the 7th inning via the ten-run rule.
Weather: 77, sunny.
Attendance at Purdue Fort Wayne = 202.
The next game will be at the conference tournament in Tulsa. The tournament will start on Wednesday.

Western has never won the conference tournament. Western has finished 2nd four times--most recently in 2014.
