Maybe Indiana is better than we think. Northern IL leading Notre Dame at the half.

Looks like NIU is that good. Huskies just knocked off #5 Notre Dame, 17-14.

Now we just gotta hope Indiana is actually the best team in the Big 10.

Western scored more points against NIU (15) than Notre Dame did (14).   :)

I wonder what the worst record is for giving up the most points in the first two games of the year. I would suspect that 130+ points has to be close to an all time worst.

Hey Necks 2003,  your trolling is amateurish. Aren't you the fella that posted that NIU wasn't any good?  I was at the NIU game and NIU was fast as Fu*k! How 'bout you ask Notre Dame how shitty NIU is?

Yeah Western got their dicks kicked in by a veteran full FBS NIU now AP ranked top 25 team. Terrible time to have a short week. I bet most of the team didn't recover till Wednesday, to then hit the road Thursday to take on a Cignetti led Indiana that demolished Florida International the week prior. (incidentally FIU decimated FBS Central Michigan 52-16 this week).

I will say that WIU has some grave issues with what's going on with their secondary.

Any clues as to what is going on with the defense? I see Smith played against Indiana, but still don't see anything for Delacruz. Is he hurt?

stuff like this is why it really blows to not have any local media anymore

I miss the coach's show, too. I thought the staff was talking up the defense early on, and it doesn't appear to have continued. Offense looked more hopeful to me (at least the first week, I didn't see the game on the Big 10 network), but I don't know what ISUr looks like this year. Not expecting a win, but would at least hope we look more on the ball.

Assuming we still have it, the Downtown Athletic Club Monday luncheon might quallify as one.  I don't know, I have never been to one yet but I might start showing up to see how things are progressing.  I just tried joining the Facebook group for it, hopefully they let me in the "club".  But honestly, I dont see how you can have a legit D1 football program without plenty of media communication, be it formall or informal nature.  If that facebook group is dominated by mostly Macomb HS posting, we are probably in trouble.
