Somehow someway we have to get on the complimentary football bandwagon.  Offense scores, defense steps up with a 3 and out.  Defense gets a big stop, offense puts together a long 12 play scoring drive.  In the days of yesterleyear, guys would play on both sides of ball so any adrenaline and momentum would carry over.  We ain't living in yesteryear any more.

Here is a question for Scott.  Why did the band move to the south end of east stands?

Scott said that the OVC has a policy stating that the Band cannot be positioned between the two 20-Yard lines.  Apparently to keep the Band from being directly behind the visiting team's bench.

At this point, I would be happy with wins against Eastern and Gardner-Webb. Lindenwood would be a plus, but they seem tougher than I originally thought.

My gut says it is a lot tougher to recruit "good" (athletically-speaking) kids to play defense than it is to bring in offensive guys. It would be interesting to know how many of our players played BOTH offense and defense in HS.

Massey currently has us at 44% chance of a win against Tennessee State, 33-34% against TTU, Lindenwood, EIU, and Gardner-Webb...all within the range of possibility if we play well. For reference, we had a 35% chance of winning going into the game at Charleston Southern.

Which is annoying, but it is what it is. I always assumed that was just part of "home field advantage".
The OVC rule was literally the first thing the band director told us when we got into the stands after pregame because we were all very confused.

The other new rule this year is you apparently cant bring in comfy folding chairs with cupholders to sit up on the northwest hillside like we did last year.  That was a shocker for me and the wife.  If we ever get a stadium upgrade and it does not have a nice berm for parking my folding seat, I will be extremely disappointed.

The AD should reach out to see what could be done to get the temporary Northwestern is using for the next 2 years.

That ridiculous... Western should be doing everything they can to get butts in the stadium.
