It was time after last year. If you look at her resume it seems like she should be doing well but something just isn’t clicking. I went to the Bradley game and that was the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen.

I don't follow the softball team very closely, so don't know the plusses and minuses of each player, but noticed today in the starting lineup was player that was hitting like .140 on the season. She's a senior and looks like she has been a consistent starter all 4 years, but she is a .173 career hitter. I mean we don't have someone else who could start over her. Maybe her defense is outstanding but still I don't think the defense would be that must of plus that she would still be a starter.

the softball team split their games with UT Martin yesterday, winning 7-0 and losing 10-8. Good news they are no longer in last place.

Softball team won today on a walkoff homer from Payton Brown, who's a stud. Took 2 of 3 from UT Martin.

Western Softball is now 4-8 in the OVC.
Western is in a 3-way tie for 7th place -- out of 10. Little Rock does not play Softball.
Eastern Illinois leads with a 8-2 record.
Western will be at Illinois on Tuesday. Then return for a 3-game home-stand next weekend vs Tennessee State.

Western battled Illinois down to the wire, losing 7-6, was ahead 6-5 going into the bottom of the 7th and gave up 2 runs.
Is this like a payday game for the softball team, I know softball isn't a money maker for most schools, but still wonder if WIU gets a little something for going to a Big Ten school to play.
