I'd make a qb change next possession.  Line hasn't been great, but McGill has missed some passes and especially on the deeper balls.

Punt block and missed FG suck, but coach not making the best play calls.

They are living in our backfield, so get out of the read option and play action.  We're not running up the middle and McGill is not making plays, so stop.  Shotgun and quick passes.....

If you can't run the ball with consistency, the game usually turns into a crapshoot.  I rest my case.

Man that was ugly. Plenty of time for 2 plays to win it.
 

Disappointing ending to this game.  North Alabama wins 23-20.

#17 Kennedy McGill was 15 of 28 for 266 yards.  2 Touchdowns.  0 Interceptions.  1 Fumble.  He also punted one time for 43 yards.

Western had 354 Total Yards:  266 yards Passing.  88 yards Rushing.

Attendance at North Alabama = 9,872

Anybody watch the game, was that a TD? I know they are homers but BJ and Dr Tom swear it was a TD. Sucky way to lose, but can't have a blocked Punt for TD and can't let them drive 75 yds with 2 minutes left to take the lead.

Not sure how that wasn't a TD, but it doesn’t excuse the last play or any of the other bone head mistakes.

I watched it live and just rewatched the last minute in replay.  The TV angles were not the greatest but it looked like knee(s) were down before goal line.
IMHO, we should not have needed to burn our last time out after the play.  The clock would have stopped on the first down.  Get up to the line quickly and clock the ball saving the timeout for a field goal attempt.  You might need it on a fumbled snap as we saw happen.
 
 

I was lead to believe we were going to turn things around this year and win the one score games. Winning in almost all facets yet losing is painful.
