Original trophy Berwagner won was called The Downtown Athletic Club Trophy. Won't ever see a winner at the FCS level, but Steve McNair was close and many felt he should have won. Finished 3rd behind Rashaan SALAMI and Ki-Jana Carter.

No commitment announcement (seems like maybe the coaching staff has told all the recruits to wait until signing day to announce or something)....but by all accounts (tweet activity mostly), it looks like this guy is going to be a Leatherneck...

Now, he's obviously not going against MVFC-level O-linemen, but the kid is big and really fast. With the guys we lost due to graduation, I think he could come in and at least compete for a starting spot right off the bat.

Put him and williams together on the line are line could be very good going forward.

I hope your right about the staff telling guys not to announce there commitment cause it seems like we are getting no recruits.

There wasn't anything quite like what we've seen this year...a post a week beforehand (http://goleathernecks.com/news/2016/1/2 ... 64450.aspx)...press conference (as usual) but also a social event at the Sports Corner afterwards. I can't imagine that they'd go bigger like that if they didn't have a pretty good idea that we'll be fine on the recruiting front.

Not trying to wish my life away or anything, but I'm ready to see who we end up with on signing day!!!!

Ummm...those kids can play! The QB throws the ball well and makes it look effortless!!
