And besides the above, I just noticed that JBPritzker just named 5 new members to the University of Illinois BOT. Maybe BOT turnover in these times is not as unexpected as one might think! ;) jc

How about term limits for them once they are in place? I think it is a good idea in this rapidly changing world.

Even a boxing match has 10 rounds which is about all the beating a person can take. I would say being on the BOT is a thankless job at best! ;) jc

Ouch: WIU's IRP office # from their website
Macomb campus: 6296 Fall18 vs 5645 Spring19 - 10.3% drop from Fall18 and 13.8% drop from Spring18
Quad Cities campus: 792 Fall18 vs 695 Spring19 - 12.2% drop from Fall18 and 15.0% drop from Spring18

Please, leadership, figure it out. The ship is in dire danger of sinking.

They are quickly running out of bubble-gum to plug the holes with.

Damn, we are just about where Al Goldfarb said we would be. He's Carnac the Magnificent.

Tere, I'm seeing this differently than you.

Total enrollment, Fall 2018: 8,502
Total enrollment, Spring 2019: 7,893
Decrease of 7.16%

This is not an unreasonable decline Fall to Spring vs other years.

I looked only at on campus for Macomb and on campus for Quad Cities. I did not include Extension, which is largely online. It's the people in the classrooms the communities surrounding them see.

If your online presence is large enough, it will have a positive impact campus and community-wide. But it has to be really big along the lines of a SNH or Liberty. Somebody from Walden U has been leaving a message on my machine about every day for the last month so they are really pushing their programs. Why they are interested in me, Lord only knows. I wish my answering machine had a spam button. I see Purdue next door is starting to advertise their new online programs on major media sources as well so they could become a huge player down the road.
