I can't imagine this hasn't been looked at by WIU personnel, but you never know. This seems like an option for some wider visibility. It would be nice if someone who knows this lingo and has this information could present it to the appropriate WESTERN official- either personally, or even as an email to start communication about this. Quad Cities, Springfield, Peoria,Quincy areas would hit a good number of potential viewers, especially with a little advertising.

Suppose for the moment that we could put together a deal to get some exposure on a PBS station(s). Would that deal require an upgrade in personnel (announcer, color, sideline, etc) or do you think our students in training have enough of the right stuff? Just interested in your thoughts. My assumption is that we would need a change in the way we do business. I am watching the SDSU broadcast at the moment. They have a very good play-by-play man along with a pretty good color guy. Interesting the way they do things. The radio/audio feed is derived from the same video production. IMO, this is the best approach (i.e., killing two birds with your best stones).

That South Dakota State vs Nebraska-Omaha game was on the Midco Sports Network. Midco televises a lot of SDSU games. Once again Midco will be doing the quarterfinals and semifinals of the upcoming Summit League Tournament.
South Dakota State won that game 86-64. Attendance at SDSU 2,274.

That would be awesome if we could get WIU games on PBS. I've checked out a few WIU Presents on their over the years, but didn't know it was actually a WIU-QC entity.
