So what's the solution ???? Consolidate everything on the Macomb campus and sell the QC assets ???

No, but it needs to be a niche campus, almost like a polytechnic. There's no reason to have so many of the CAS majors located there. Their numbers are shockingly low. QC should focus on its graduate programs in business and education as well as its undergraduate programs in business, engineering, and nursing.

One more reply, and I'll let it go. Time for a beer and election returns.
I can't imagine any admission office not wanting to get the help of faculty. That's generally admissions 101. A key ingredient to student interest is when they can meet and talk with a faculty member in their possible area of study. I'm sorry, I just don't buy that all past Western admissions officers didn't want faculty involvement. The problem has been deeper than blaming admissions. There's an old saying in admissions- when enrollment is up, everyone at the school takes credit. when enrollment is down, blame it on admissions. Still true today.

That sounds like a plan, never did like the idea of putting another college in Illinois. We should of spent all that money to fix up Macomb and it would of had better results.

Yea, seems like expanding like that should be left to the big schools.
I'd be curious to know how much has been "invested" in that campus? I'm talking total. Property purchase, construction, payroll, everything.

I am sure it is more than enough to build the PAC, West Hanson Field Stands and do all the demos needed around campus along with a ton of maintenance projects.

With the QC campus, at least Al G can say he had one ground-breaking ceremony that was not just ceremonial. I would be interested in seeing how much money John Deere has sunk into the whole project. Was it just the land donation or are they still throwing in some bucks?

Ongoing cash gifts are minimal. JD's contribution was the land. Talk about a Trojan Horse.

It is a beautiful location, though.

Let's not let the QC campus be the scapegoat for what is happening in Macomb. It might have its issues, but shouldn't be used to deflect away from whats happening at the Macomb campus. QC campus isn't the reason or cause of the main campus's issues. Easy to point a finger somewhere else, and blame them.

I'm not trying to blame qc campus at all. I know there a many many problems in Macomb from top to bottom.
I equate it to I would love a second home with a view, but don't have the disposable income to fund it, so guess what? I don't have a second home.
Also how do these private universities make hand over fist? Or seems like they do?
