By far the worst viewing experience I’ve had. The down and distance was missing from the tv screen completely so it was hard to know what down it was during the game. The multiple hot mic incidents (leading into commercials) by the broadcasters were a plenty, kinda funny as I assumed these were college kids running the show but later learned they weren’t.

I watched it on the Marquee cable network.  I assume the same feed as ESPN.  Had the TV muted the whole game and listened to 98.1 for audio feed.
Yes, I missed the down and distance on the screen too.

The crowd noise was absent for most of the game.

The main announcer was Kurt Pegler.  He has been a Sports Reporter at WMBD-TV (Peoria) since 1987.

I watched on Marquee, not sure if that was the same as the ESPN broadcast but I noticed lack of crowd noise, almost made me wonder if the announcers weren't on site

I thought the offense looked good, Lamb played well. Obviously the defense still needs some improvement, but after seeing todays game I feel a little bit better about things then I did after the first 2 weeks.

This team is not good, better than last year, which isn't saying much

If we lose against McKendree then just shut the program down

Good for Lamb looked like he played well after seeing the box score.  Didn't get to watch it but did we really out TOP them 38 minutes to 21 minutes with 31 1st downs and over 500 yards of offense?  How do you lose with those numbers?

I may be a cock-eyed optimist, but I did think things looked better against ISUr. Obviously there's still work to do, but we performed better than I thought we would. The blocked field goal and fumble completely stabbed us in the heart, but we were able to score. Yeah, defense still needs work, but I believe they will get there.

Yes, we had much better TOP and offensive numbers. They had a few "big plays" that burned us, especially early. 59-yard TD pass in the first drive, for example. We tried for a 4th and 2 at our own 46 and got nowhere. There was a blocked FG that they returned for a TD, fumble where the ball was stripped out right before the guy's kneww as down, and a couple of other "fluke-type" things. Really, a couple of bounces going our way instead of theirs, and we would have solidly been in this game. I was very impressed with how we played most of the time. If we play like we did against ISU for the entire season, then I think 4 wins is absolutely a possibility.

For reference, despite spotting them 14 points right off the bat, if that FG in the 3rd quarter isn't blocked and returned for a TD and instead goes through the uprights, then we're tied at 24-all instead of down by 10.

Delacruz should help D if he gets back.  But I still think we have a lack of quickness at all levels of D.  Not something you can fix unfortunately, you have to recruit it.
