Leatherneck57, Thank you for all your hard work and support for the football program and WIU. Can't wait for the golf outings April 22 and 23.

Hopefully, as I progress in my career, I'll be able to help out much more in the future. What youre doing is great 57, and we all appreciate the updates. They are great to hear.

Just wanted to mention, I was leaving the rec center this evening at the same time that the football team was heading back to the locker room following this evening's practice (they went until ~9 PM, just FYI). I couldn't see him in the group, but I sure could pick out Coach Fisher's voice thanks to all those videos that the athletics department has put together with him talking about new recruits, how practices are going, etc. Sounded as enthusiastic and excited as ever, even after a late evening practice session.

Tomorrow is the first of two dates (April 1st and 15th) that potential future Leathernecks for the class of 2017 will be on campus for a visit and to attend practice. This staff is following a lot of players on Twitter...
The recruiting process is well underway for next year!!

Thanks for the updates, leatherneck57 and yokedneck. Sounds like the program is getting a much needed infusion of enthusiasm!!! So glad the alumni as well as the current/future 'Necks are getting back into being excited about athletics, particularly football.
I never realized how much former staff had let relations with 'Neck football alums go downhill. Good for this coaching staff to get the proud Leatherneck heritage back!!!!
Really looking forward to the spring game/weekend. Enjoy it, all!!!!

Do they usually bring in refs to do some live officiating during spring practices? I didn't realize that was a thing.

An odd situation pointed out to me by LN57:

I'm still researching what the rules are for this.

He definitely has the build for it. Will help him being able to actually be physical!
