Brian Clarke was in attendance at the game. He was the "tosser" for the Buffalo Wild Wings Chicken Toss competition during one of the timeouts.
Western fans will remember Brian as being the host for the contests during timeouts of the basketball games for a few years while he was the graduate assistant of marketing and promotions.
After getting his Master's degree in Recreation, Parks & Tourism Administration from Western, Brian was the promotions manager for the Athletic Department at Saint Louis University. He is now the assistant athletic director of marketing at SIUC. He oversees the marketing and promotions of the Saluki's 16 athletic programs.
The crowd for the game was larger than I had been expecting--especially when you consider the short-notice for the game, that it was Spring Break and also St Patrick's Day, and also the competition from the NCAA Tournament.
Northern Kentucky had a crowd of 363 for their home tournament game with South Carolina-Upstate.
