When Mark Hendrickson was Head Coach, he did a weekly radio show on WIUS-FM. It ran for 30 minutes.
Perhaps this would be an option for a weekly radio show.

I am not sure if that is the 88.3 The Dog station, but I do know that station has a tunein radio app so it allows streaming anywhere in world. I never really listened to that station, not my kind of music, but that would be an interesting option.

WIUS is the campus radio station. It is 88.3 FM, "The Dog".

I checked out the mobile app, but it is only for iPhones. I've got, and love, my Android phone. However, you can listen online via the web, though not nearly as convenient. How do we get them to make an Android app, too?

Tunein has an Android app. I used to use it on my old phone and it worked great for me. The nice thing is, if you have a Tunein account, you just sign in and all your favorite stations automatically show up.

Now, the Roku app is a bit goofy, but the Android one works great.

We tried the Bob Nielson Show at Buffalo Wild Wings last year with the notion it would be a annual program. Having been a part of that show, granted Beau did the majority of the work by setting up interviews, prepping questions, etc.. but he's right, the attendance was never really all that good.
There was a little chatter about having a 30-minute program for Coach Nielson & then the basketball coaches (during season), but I haven't heard anything lately. Somewhere on campus possibly would work better. Or, maybe a weekly, recorded podcast?
Furthermore, regarding the "Tune-In" streaming provider that was suggested, our operations/program director has looked into it and a few other options. There is a cost, and/or with some providers, a national commercial barter agreement that is currently getting worked out.

If it was on campus, I would think it could still be sponsored by BWW. Of course, it would be good if BWW would bring in some wings and things (appetizers, discount coupons, etc) to give to the students.

Attendance at Buffalo Wild Wings for the actual show was low at times last year, but I am fairly certain that's not the reason it isn't happening this year. It would be nice to have it carried on in some capacity. Most college football programs have these shows on location on Monday nights. It's one of those things that will build a fan base with repetition. Add in a winning season or two (which WILL happen soon at WIU), and that back room at BWW could be filled.
The problem with having it on campus, is that it would keep a lot of community fans away, IMO. The diehards would still visit an on-campus location, but it wouldn't be a destination like BWW.

I know this isn't directly related to the coach's show discussion, but I did want to point out that WRMS, the "flagship" station for Leatherneck Football, does stream through TuneIn. That doesn't help people wanting to listen to a coaches show that's on WJEQ or something, but I just wanted to put that reminder out there for people.

I understand that Tommy has reworked some/all of the architectural plans for the West Side. If we have a plan in place and Architectural Renderings or CG flyover video et cetera, it would seem like the celebration of 1000+ Leatherneck games would be a great opportunity to share with the public.
Furthermore it is my understanding that Rick Springfield is eager to find out information about the West Side.
