What courses and/or academic programs fall into the "Extension" classification?

Generally anything off both Macomb and QC Campuses...classes in Chicago, for example.
There's a whole series of senior and graduate level courses in Biology and Zoology that are actually held at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, but accredited by Western: http://www.wiu.edu/cas/biological_scien ... /shedd.php

Stuff like that mostly.

I was just wondering if that includes the "online" enrollments. I assume we have some of those, i.e. programs where you can earn your degree 100% online without ever setting foot on campus.

Chicago State University trustees approve $600K separation agreement with president.

From the Associated Press:

Trustees at financially troubled Chicago State University voted Friday to approve a separation agreement with President Thomas Calhoun Jr. that includes a $600,000 payment.

The vote was 6-1 to accept Calhoun's resignation. Trustees are scheduled to choose an interim president later Friday.

Calhoun's contract, which runs until January 2021, paid him $300,000 a year and included wording that Calhoun could be removed without cause and accept two years of salary to leave immediately, the Chicago Tribune reported.

It wasn't immediately clear why Calhoun left the top position, which he took in January. He, trustees and the school did not provide details.

The meeting crowded with Calhoun supporters greeted trustees with shouts and heckles. The one vote against accepting the agreement came from student trustee Paris Griffin who told the crowd: "I did speak for you." Calhoun didn't attend the meeting.

The departure comes after a troubled year for the 4,500-student campus. In February, it declared a financial emergency and about 40 percent of its employees have been terminated or laid off since the beginning of the year. Academic programs and services have been reduced.

Earlier in the week, more than 100 faculty members signed a letter urging trustees to keep Calhoun.

"To do otherwise would continue the turmoil we have experienced since February and likely expose the still vulnerable university to additional harm," the letter stated.

Gov. Bruce Rauner said Thursday that he was concerned about tax dollars being used for severance payments.

"We don't have that many taxpayer resources to go around," he said at an unrelated news conference. "Taxpayers are supporters of that institution. And you hate to see a lot of money going out for not productive uses. The money should be in the classroom with the students and the teachers."

In a Joliet Herald-News article, State Senator Pat McGuire of Joliet warns that Illinois may continue to operate on stop-gap budgets into 2019.

He also talks about some of the state universities being consolidated: Such as combining Eastern Illinois University with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as well as combining Chicago State University with the University of Illinois at Chicago.

A state-wide grassroots effort to create a strong and viable 3rd party in the state would be far more effective than attempting to redraw legislative district lines. We could call it the "CUBS" party (Citizens United for a Better State). Oh wait, that CUBS acronym is already taken (Citizens United for Baseball in Sunshine). So what should we call the new party?
