Again, another week where running is the last choice.

A net 30 yds rushing. Subtracting the QB "scrambling", only 13 rushing attempts - 13 compared to 51 passing attempts.

That is NOT coaching. We need a coach who uses their players effectively, not just their obviously favorite pass plays.

USD had one drive against UNI yesterday in the 3rd quarter, 10 plays, 72 yards, 5:30 in clock time, leading to a TD.
Guess what?  EVERY PLAY was a rushing play.  They ran the ball 51 times overall against a UNI team that usually is pretty tough against the rush, not killing it, averaging only 3.2 yds a carry.  Bob had his faults (like sitting too comfortably on big leads and blowing them) but he knew what it took to win a freaking game of football.  He also liked to script the first X number of plays on offense to start off a game.  I don't know if we are doing that but it sure looks like we are making up the plays as we go.

Yeah, this sucks, but let him and the guys finish the season.  Make an announcement like LSU, that he won't be coming back next year.  Not something WIU would ever do as for some reason all our information is top secret and requires the highest security clearance.  They may have already told Elliott he's done after the season and we'd never know, but lose the advantage of potential suiters getting interested early.

This would give a major head start on not just the search, but for those potentially interested.  Lets get people interested now and to start putting their ducks in a row and deciding if this is something they'd really be interested in.  Get ahead of other school movement that will be happening at the end of the season and more jobs opening up.  Get the thought/image of themselves wearing the purple and gold early, so its implanted before other potential opportunities pop up.

If possible, make a move right after the season, keep who they want on the staff and replace what's needed, meet with the team and get building for the future.

Where's the crowd applause GIF? This post needs it. Get the word out early. If it upsets the team, they can't do any worse than the games have already been.

Perfect GIF.  Sure makes miss the good old days, one of the best shows ever for 10 years.  Makes me miss those days even more, since we went 84 - 40 during that era, with 1 losing season and 1 5-5.  Since then we've had 6 winning seasons over the last 18.

Just don't make em like they used to!!!!!

Maybe that's the answer...they need to restart Friends. Friends ran from September 1994 to May 2004, a span that contains 10 football seasons where we won the conference 4 times (and finished 2nd two other times) and made the playoffs 6 times.

I want to see "The One where the Leathernecks win the FCS Championship".

Ha, love that show title.  Actually read it while on a video conference and laughed to myself.  Probably pretty obvious to anyone paying attention, that i I wasn't.....
