15 tackles 3.5 sacks in 5 games last season. Pretty solid for an interior DL.

Worst case, he led UCF in Special Teams tackles, so a big upgrade to our Special teams. Best case, starting CB with some length and athleticism.

Not really a recruit, however I see Braylen Brooks who entered the transfer portal hasn’t picked up any offers (on his Twitter) and is still on our roster. I’d be thrilled if he ended up staying with us. Kid was a player for a true freshman.

We get DB transfers like crazy, but when we getting some ILB run stuffers? I know Benton and Blank were still young last year, but unless the DL gets much better against the run, we need a meet in the whole no YAC LB.
Like Benton in coverage and even in spy situations and sure that is the way the world is moving with more hybrid ILBs, but still need that early down old school type.

Looking like we are having a grad transfer portal from Lamar
6’1, 185 senior, from Chicago DB NAKOTA
SHEPARD-CREER. Since he’s a grad transfer I’d assume we only have him for the fall.
Originally signed at New Mexico State, then went JUCO, finally landed at Lamar where he just graduated.
