Ran across a link on Panthernation.com that I was wondering about.

Um, according to cfbdatawarehouse ILLINOIS all time percentage is .487

WESTERN's winning percentage is .510 unless my math is wrong.

My guess is that they only include games while member of NCAA. Didn't WIU have a lot of NAIA time earlier?

I imagine it is not just NCAA, but also big conferences, aka big schools. I was interested because of the history of Grambling.

The the picture shows LSU as leading the way in Louisiana, with the database reporting a 771-404-47 record for a .631 winning percent, while Grambling is 565-283-21, a .650 winning percent.

In Illinois they only list 3 schools as big schools, with Northern Illinois ranking 65th, Illinois ranking 81st, and Northwestern ranking 113th of 128 programs, which the database indicates as Division 1A,

For what the database indicates as D1AA, Western is the tops in Illinois at 55th followed by Eastern at 83rd, Illinois State at 88th, Southern at 94th, out of 125 programs listed.

Good points Tere.

Interesting that the States/Football team montage that we are referencing gives the Nod to a D-II Pittsburg State (Gorillas) to represent Kansas. Pittsburg State has not even been associated with the NCAA very long, relatively speaking. Wonder how Kansas State feels about that

Gosh, sorry I wasted everyones time with this silly thread. I really thought that the idea to show the winningest team and the associated State looks cool. Too bad the person that created that didn't bother to use any factual data.
