Am I the only one that wants to see USD get their butts kicked not only by us later on, but by UND this weekend?

Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely happy with the head coach and staff we ended up with - personally, I think it was a giant leap forward; but with that said, I'm still torqued about how Nielson handled the whole thing last year. It's not that I'd rather have him, but after he double-talked the players about staying, then leaving, I'd just as soon he have the Randy Ball curse hanging over his head.

Yeah, I tend to carry a grudge. ;)

Don't count me in. 'Tis far better to kick their butt when they think they are good. We need all of the quality wins we can get come playoff selection time.

A lot of good Valley football to watch on TV tomorrow.

Excited to see how NDSU stacks up against Iowa at 11.

Then the EIU vs ISU game. Think this will be a good and close game. Will be flipping back an forth with the NIU game.

Night cap with a likely shootout with UNI vs EWU.
This game will be on Comcast Sports Chicago alternate though directv. Also on KGCW which is the quad cities CW affiliate.

Go Valley, but an EIU win still looks great for us.

Or how about this...we beat the Redbirds when it's their turn and it doesn't matter who wins ;)

NDSU strikes first against Iowa...defender hits the Iowa QB as he's passing, another NDSU guys catches the ball and runs it in. Pick 6 for the Bison and they're up 7-0 late in the 1st quarter.

UPDATE - Iowa figures out that NDSU has trouble with the pass and starts picking them apart with the play-action and goes ahead 14-7. NDSU counters by starting to get pressure on the QB more and the Iowa receivers have some trouble catching passes, so no more scores in the half. 14-7 is the halftime score.

ESPN and related network broadcasts need to cut their half-time shows in half. Just saying.

Bison have success running the ball and ties it up in the 3rd, 14-14.

Iowa gets a TD and then NDSU puts together one of their long drives for a TD for the Bison. They go for 2 and don't make it, so Iowa is up by 1, 21-20 with just under 4 minutes left in the game. NDSU's D will need a big stop and maybe they can go for a FG to win it.

UPDATE - NDSU held them, pushed them back, big sack on 3rd down. Iowa has 4th and long with 2 minutes left. NDSU has 1 TO left.

37 yard FG attempt is.......GOOD!!!!!!

OMG.....NDSU UPSETS IOWA!!!!!

23-21 Final

EDIT - NDSU held the Iowa running game to a total of 34 yards. They can be vulnerable to the pass though, so we'll need to continue to develop our passing game if we want to do well against the Bison.

Wow, what a game. Hard to believe as they did not look that good last two weeks.
