Mavericks pull off the upset of USD 64 to 58 and will play the necks tomorrow at noon.

I think that's probably the better result for us. USD is a little bit better of a team record-wise, but even if equal, USD would have had a big "home" crowd cheering for them. Now we go up against Omaha, who probably has a smaller crowd (although they did bring a nice little cheering section last time they played in Western Hall) at the tournament.

Both teams we beat both times in the regular season, so there's not a huge difference there.

In the other Women's game today, South Dakota State beat Oral Roberts 65-50. South Dakota State will now play IUPUI in Monday's second quarter-final game.

Attendance for the afternoon session = 9,419.

There will be a Watch Party at Sports Corner for Monday's Western vs Omaha semi-final game.

Game time is 12 Noon.
