Baseball at Dayton

Dayton won Friday's game 6-0. Western is now 0-11 on the season.

Weather: 39, partly cloudy.

Attendance = 43.

Western Baseball will be off Saturday and will play Dayton again on Sunday at 11AM and then play Ohio at 3PM.

How does Brownlee keep his job? He is now 71-149 for his career. They have a team ERA of 9.30 and WHIP of 1.97, which is horrible, bordering on laughable. Team batting average of .209 and been outscored 107-34.

Edit: Upon further review, It appears to me this is a blanket question that could be asked about so many positions at wiu. Starting at the very top. But that's for another thread lol.

Other than a named stadium, why do we even keep baseball?

I guess it brings in some students :) Does the man even recruit D1 type players?

Western Baseball split Sunday's double-header at Dayton.

In game 1, Western scored 2 runs in the top of the 10th inning to win 7-5.

Dayton won the second game 4-1. Western is now 1-12 on the season.

Weather: 36, clear.

Attendance at Dayton = 70.

Western will conclude their spring break road trip with a game on Monday (March 13) at Butler. Game time is 2PM.

Home opener will be Wednesday (March 15) vs Robert Morris-Illinois. Game time is 2PM.
