Former WIU WR Carl Sims killed in shooting

Sims had played for a decent number of years in the Indoor Football League playing with the Cedar Rapids Titans, Sioux Falls Storm, Nebraska Danger, and Spokane Empire, and was second overall in the IFL in most receiving yards in a career and receiving TDs in a career.
In his time at Western, he was 8th on the career receiving yards list with 1,724 yards and had 11 TDs. Sims was 31 years old.
