Today's Peoria Journal-Star is reporting that UIUC will play Eastern Illinois in a Men's basketball game at Eastern on November 3. This will be a charity exhibition game to raise money for Hurricane Relief.

Tonight's UIUC at Eastern Illinois Men's basketball game sold out in 24 hours. It is a charity exhibition game to benefit hurricane relief. This will be Eastern's first sell-out since 2014 (vs Murray State).

It seems WIU712 has passed along a number of news notes about Eastern being very pro-active in a number of ways that creates an image that they must have strong leadership who understands the need to be visible and involved with issues.

Or more likely EIU is damn lucky to be only 58 minutes apart from the flagship U via interstate highway.

The final score is in from Charleston: Eastern Illinois won the game 80-67.
Eastern outscored UIUC 42-25 in the second half.

I don't know what the general "makeup" of the team is, but by some of the tweets and stuff, it sounds like they played almost exclusively their young guys.
