10th day total enrollment number will be right around 8,502.

This is for full-time and part-time for Macomb and QC combined.

This compares to 10,373 for Fall, 2016 and 9,440 9,441 for Fall, 2017.

I was going to start a new thread about enrollment, but decided to use the previous post to start it instead.

Our official numbers won't be out until tomorrow, but I wanted to point out...
SIUC - 12,817 total students (11.9% down)
SIUE - 13,281 total students (3.7% down)
They knew it was coming for a while, but now, officially, SIUE has a larger enrollment than SIUC.

Meanwhile EIU had 7,526 total students, an overall increase of about 7% from last year.

This was a good thread to start. I will be interested to see what the total Freshman enrollment is and where we stand with transfer students.

If we were part of the "system", we would have a lot more fun looking at the data, where they came from, where the alumni went, etc., right at your fingertips. Sweeeeet.

total # for 2017 actually 9441 as per http://www.wiu.edu/IRP/enrollments/2018/fall/hc.php

So 2017 was 9.0% less than 2016 and the projected loss for 2018 is 9.9% from 2017.

This is NOT heading the the right direction.

934 Freshman sounds a lot better than the 800 number that was thrown around earlier. Still a far cry from where it should be and where it has to be.

Teacher's Union authorizing a strike. I don't even know where to begin with how bad that looked/was for prospective students making their decisions.

I suspect, knowing me, it would contain a large quantity of language of the profane and vulgar variety. I should probably stop typing.

Macomb enrollment = 7,235.
Quad Cities enrollment = 1,267.

Total = 8,502.

Eastern's enrollment of 7,526 puts it ahead of Western.
