I am far too impressed only five minutes into the season.

Brandon should have five blocks. He has got bogus fouls twice now.

I am listening to this one. We are up at the moment about midway thru 1st half. If we lead at the half, I might have to start watching it.

It’s different looking, but I like Pyle’s quick release.

Box score won’t show it but Brandon had 8 blocks.
Two awful calls.

If you block 10 shots and lets say, optimistically (or pessimistically) about half of them would have gone in, that is preventing 10 points on the board against you which is good. College basketball teams average about 68 points a game today. Divide that by five players on the court at the same time, and you get about 14 points per player position if everyone pulls their weight. We were in the hole last night at the center position. I am not greedy. I would take a mere 12 points in the book along with 0 blocks from the big guy every day of the week.

Is anybody just a bit surprised by this score. I'm not, I think we are going to be pretty damn good! I said that to a couple of people in Macomb last night and just got some "raised eyebrows!" Gilbeck is a stud, and our guard tandem has a year of experience and showed it last night. Pyle is a surprise too! WIU is much improved and whoever picked them to finish last forgot to look at the roster and the stat sheet!

We've got a couple of really good teams in the conference, but if we keep playing like that we could he in the top half of the conference. Then again, I think we said the same thing after we beat Wisconsin.
