I was thinking no new posts were being made as the forum title wasn't being highlighted in yellow. But then after a few days, I finally looked at the last post dates and noted there had been posts. Is the highlighting to show new/unread posts no longer working (or was i only imagining that it had been)?

Now that I logged in to create my post I'm getting the highlighting again. That must be the secret, you need to log in. Going back click the auto log-me-in box!

Yea, it stores "read" status for posts on the site in your account. If you're not logged in, it doesn't really know what you've read and what you haven't.
