So the discussion on the other thread got me excited about next year's D, so thought I'd start an actual thread to discuss. Interested in hearing everyones thoughts on starting lineups, key role players, next big star. Plus thought I'd put out some career (D1) stats to emphasize the experience of the D.

Depth at any of the LB positions could be a major concern since there is no experience there except for DeAndre Daniels who mainly played special teams. Demetrius Allen sat out all of last year.

I totally agree with the major concern of the depth but in the spring game the backups were very impressive. As the season goes on they will gain more experience. I foresee Luke Venegoni having a breakout year.

Bam or others at the spring game, how did Sterling Mack look? Did he get many reps out there? Was excited about his signing and figured he'd get some reps this coming season, with a bigger role in the future.

Sterling Mack was transitioned to defensive end during spring ball and played defensive end in the spring game. He did have a couple of tackles but has decided to transfer.

Huskie are you sure about Sterling Mack transferring, that would be a big lost he was applying a lot of pressure to the quarterback. Do you think the transfer was because they did not have an opening at linebacker???

I would like to voice my opinion about something's. This is a discussion board a format in which we can voice our opinion about the team, schedule and etc. In no way shape or form will I bash any athlete. Wonderdog you know how I feel about JJ. I have expressed that in the Bad News forum and letsgonecks I am still lost about what you were trying to say about Jonathon Rollins!! I have watched film on all the athletes' , I can back up anything I discuss in this forum. Lets keep it professional guys. With that being said I am making a bold prediction 8-4 and a playoff win. What do you think Huskie? and others.

On old forum I said 7-5 making it to Playoffs, but I will not call a playoff win until I could see who we would play. I do think the team should be vastly improved this year and would be extremely disappointed in a 500 season. If we want any chance to win with these young players they need to show their ability in the second year to finish the games where they were close and failed.
