Campus situation w/ COVID-19
Both Iowa State and Northern Iowa will start classes a week early, on Aug. 17, and wrap up the fall semester Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving, rather than stretching into mid-December as they would in a normal year.
Both schools will hold classes on Labor Day.

I think pretty much all schools that are holding in-person classes are planning on something similar. Start a little early, finish before Thanksgiving and let people go home and stay home. Keeping everyone safe and healthy is going to be hard enough without then sending everyone home for a week, back to school for a couple of weeks, then back home. There's too much opportunity to get it and pass it around if we do the "normal" schedule. Plus this way we're avoiding the start of "flu season" which will likely also be the start of the next wave of COVID, so we'll hopefully be able to keep both of those relatively "in check".wiu712 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 2:37 pm Both Iowa State and Northern Iowa will start classes a week early, on Aug. 17, and wrap up the fall semester Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving, rather than stretching into mid-December as they would in a normal year.
