With the help of a number of WIU band alumni, I made a thing...
Nearly 40 years ago, two Marching Leathernecks traditions began. To the public, the most well-known is playing "Georgia, On My Mind" at the end of halftime. To the alumni and members of the Marching Leathernecks though, there is another that has been played after nearly every performance over that time frame. After the football teams have left the field and the fans have exited the stadium, the WIU Marching Band plays this song ... for ourselves and for each other.

Due to the situation involving COVID-19, the 2020 Marching Leathernecks are experiencing a season like no other. Many members who expected to be a part of the band this fall are unable to return to campus because of the virus, and those that are here don't have any football games or marching band competitions to perform at.

As Marching Leathernecks alumni, we felt it was important to let the current Marching Leathernecks know that we're thinking of them. While most of us have never had to deal with a situation like this, the ML family is strong. We, the ML Alumni support you and look forward to a time when we can return to campus and cheer for you in person.
