Down 41-31 at the half. Need to hit some shots and cut down on turnovers to stay in this one.

Quality of broadcast is pretty good. Still need to work on syncing the score and time graphic with the actual scoreboard instead of the stat live stream.

Yotes win 73-56. They are good. Beatable if you bring your A game for 40 minutes against them.

Grace Gilmore and Elizabeth Lutz led the Western scoring with 13 points. Evan Zars had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Western is still struggling at the Free Throw line: 10 out of 20 tonight.

Game 2 will be Saturday at 4:30 PM.

With the spring semester now underway, the home games can be heard on WIUS (88.3 FM).

Leathernecks can't keep up with Coyotes.

South Dakota won Saturday's game 61-56. South Dakota out-scored Western 17-10 in the 4th quarter. Western went 7 minutes without scoring in the 4th quarter.

Western's largest lead was 10 points in the second quarter (32-22).

Danni Nichols led the Western scoring with 19 points. Grace Gilmore had 11.

Next games will be Friday & Saturday (Jan 29 & 30) at North Dakota. Game time will be at 5:00 PM on both days. Those games will be on Midco Sports Network 2. North Dakota allows 650 fans at their games.

I tuned in very late. Down by one point with 40 ticks left. Did we go into auto-foul mode with fouls to give? Seems we could have just played tough D and hope for the miss, leaving us with the ball at midcourt and 8 to 10 seconds left to make something good happen. But I might be confused not watching things unfold up to that point.
