One thing has not changed. Media timeouts that go on seemingly forever.

Tied up at 7 at halftime. I have to admit...I was not expecting this. I'm happy about it, but I would not have predicted it.
Still lots to fix and clean up on our side, but they're keeping with the Cardinals better than I thought they would.

We have played pretty well. Look for Ball State to blitz a lot in the 2nd half. Dr. Cody agrees with me. LOL

OL protection is great, minus the last drive, but the first sack could have been avoided if Connor stepped up in the pocket.

Speaking of Connor he looks really good and seems way more comfortable and a little quicker on his feet.

Need a draw or middle screen if they going to bring more pressure. Wouldn't mind seeing a deep shot or 2.

Great half. Let's finish strong.

Can't assume a call as an official, you have to see it. Back judge couldn't not have seen a facemask, because it wasn't.

They punt, no score.

Mistakes by players and officials will always happen. Just a handful too many to overcome tonight. Watch Bison video. They use many run formations (e.g. Power I) to get the job done. We are too vanilla IMHO.

Didn't pull off the upset, but they kept it respectable against a team that went 7-1 last year, won their conference championship game and their bowl game and finished the season just within the top 25. Ball State was picked to win the MAC again this year, but we only lost by 10 and put up 364 passing yards (16th most passing yards in a game in Leatherneck history). I don't think we'll challenge for the top part of the conference, but if we keep playing like this, I think we could end up somewhere in the middle of the pack. Considering we were picked last in the preseason poll, that wouldn't be too bad.

Western had 70 rushing yards on 24 attempts.
