December 18 (Saturday) at 2 PM, so the guys will get 2 weeks at home to rest up and get better

EIU is 2-7 so far this season (0-7 against DI teams):
  • Lost at Northwestern, 80-56
  • Lost at Saint Louis, 86-44
  • Lost against Central Michigan, 62-61
  • Beat DIII Rockford University, 96-64
  • Eastern Kentucky MTE Tournament
    • Lost at Eastern Kentucky, 82-43
    • Lost against Albany, 64-62
  • Lost against Evansville, 70-54
  • Lost at Northern Illinois, 55-45
  • Beat DIII North Park University, 76-71
  • Still have games upcoming:
    • 12/7 at Missouri
    • 12/11 at Butler
I'll update things as we get a little closer to the game, but currently:

BPI - WIU #175, EIU #342
Massey - WIU #144, EIU #353

Currently Massey says a 92% chance of victory with a predicted score of 77-63.

Sloppy half still up 10 we look like we haven’t played in a couple weeks.

Western wins the "Battle for the Railsplitter Axe" 71-54.  

Will Carius led the Western scoring with 25 points.  He was 7 for 12 on three-pointers.

Trenton Massner had 18 points.  Luka Barisic had 11.

Today's win was the 200th career win for Coach Rob Jeter.

New Football Coach Myers Hendrickson spoke to the crowd at halftime.

Attendance at Western Hall = 1,004

Next game will be the conference-opener at Denver on Monday (Dec 20).  Game time is 8:00 PM.

The Railsplitter Axe returns to Western for the first time in 5 years.  Colton Sandage accepted the axe at the end of the game.

Well seemed like everyone was “off” tonight except for Will and sandage. Still be ahead early and really never look back. 

Edit: love how Dixon plays.
