Agreed!  Hoping for that. 

Granted, you've been around longer than I, but what in the past several years gives you hope that a solid football hire awaits us?

The longer this goes on, the more pessimistic I become. We were out of the gate early, but how many other opening were created and filled since?

I’m trying to hold off any opinions on this process until the process is complete. IIRC the basketball hire took a bit too and has turned out great. Hoping for the same results. In the past there was always a list of candidates that either leaked out or was announced. Haven’t heard a peep this time.

Lol, good coach when the athletes can be intimidated, not so much when the athletes are grown men that demand equal respect. 
 

The longer it drags on the less confident I am. I love the Jeter hire, but that also seems like a no brainer looking back on it. 
 

I can see not wanting to announce ANYTHING during finals week.  Friday after noon, that's maybe OK.

Not sure why it would be bad to announce during finals week?  I would rather the kids meet their Coach in person before they all head out of town for the break.
