Amy Andrews has joined the South Georgia Tormenta Women FC: https://www.tormentafc.com/news_article/show/1201823

Since I was not familiar with the various US soccer leagues, I dug up some info. It looks like Tormenta is part of the newly-formed USL W League.

There is the USL (United Soccer League) that organizes multiple "leagues": USL Championship, League One, and League Two (those are all men's leagues), the Super League and W League for women, and the Super Y League and USL Academy for kids/youth leagues. They (plus a couple other leagues) are essentially the "minor league system" of US soccer. You can find more information about how the women's leagues are structured here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_St ... stem#Women
But essentially, it's roughly the equivalent of a baseball player in a single-A league.

The USL W League is just starting up this year as an amateur soccer league beginning play in May 2022 and covering much of the US east of the Mississippi River. Tormenta FC is located in Statesboro, GA (where Georgia Southern is located) and they will be playing at the currently under-construction Optim Health System Stadium: https://www.wjcl.com/article/optim-heal ... m/35400717
Tormenta FC’s 5,300-seat stadium will be home to the club's professional USL League One team, the USL League Two squad, the USL Academy matches -- as well as both the Georgia Southern University Men’s and Women’s NCAA Division I soccer teams.

Andrews is absolutely tearing it up on the turf this summer:

Although I'm a little confused about this line at the end of the linked article:
Andrews and the Leathernecks begin the fall campaign on August 7, hosting an exhibition match against Southeastern Missouri State in Macomb.
I guess I thought, since she's played for WIU for 4 years already, and it looked like she was playing on something of a "semi-pro" team this summer, that she had finished up her eligibility, but it sounds like maybe she can play this next season as well?

Moved this thread out of the "Leathernecks in the Pros" category, since it looks like it was just a summer amateur league that she was in and she's still got a year of eligibility.
