Oops, I tried to copy and paste them but did not come out pretty.

You can go to http://stats.ncaa.org/rankings/ranking_summary and look at them yourself.

In the midwest region, almost dead last in any category that matters.  Stolen bases don't mean anything when you're dead last in slugging percentage.

Basically it cost an adult 10 dollars per victory for a meal.

Watching the Murray State broadcast.  Tuned in late but the play-by-play guy (Harold Someone?) is a Western grad from about my time.  Lots of reminiscing about his days there and beyond.  Even talked about the one and only Larry Derry.  This is the kind of stuff that student broadcasters just cannot bring to a game.  Man do I miss that.  We need better than just student broadcasters for our money programs IMHO.

Western won Sunday's game at Murray State 17-6.  Western scored 10 runs in the 4th inning.

Attendance at Murray State = 71

ORU looks like they are heading to the NCAA tournament for like the 19th time in the last 22 years.  We have been a bridesmaid in baseball about 4 times since 1984 - our brag board claim to fame.  IMHO, the Summit brag board seems lopsided for nearly all sports.  Some school (or maybe 2) dominate(s) pretty much year after year with only an occasional one off for the other schools.  Denver dominates swimming/diving and volleyball without a doubt.  NDSU men's track and field.  Cross country some *Dakota* school.  It might be interesting to compare the Summit with other conferences in the area of diversified championships amongst all participating schools.  That might keep me busy for a week or so.  Stay tuned.

I have not looked at all sports yet, but have done some analysis on mens and womens basketball and volleyball.
I have compared the last 5 years of Summit league standings in those sports along with the Big Sky and OVC to see which conference is more of a "mover and shaker" and less of a "status quo" situation.  My strategy is simple.  From year to year, just total the number of positional changes in the standings (either up or down) for all teams and divide by the number of teams to get an average change for each team in the conference and then average the seasonal averages to get an overall trend. The first number below is that overall average and the second is the related standard deviation.

So, as you can see, not as much movement in the Summit League standings from year to year as there is in the Big Sky and OVC
which basically means if you are feeding at the bottom or treading water somewhere in the middle, you must work your ass off to move up in the standings.  Don't count on a team above falling from grace.

BIGSKY VB = (1.88, 0.52)
BIGSKY WBB = (2.05, 0.35)
BIGSKY MBB = (2.36, 0.84)

OVC VB = (1.83, 0.14)
OVC WBB = (2.15, 0.71)
OVC MBB = (2.63, 0.39)

SUMMIT VB = (1.23, 0.09)
SUMMIT WBB = (1.34, 0.58)
SUMMIT MBB = (1.65, 0.28)

I added 5 year analysis for baseball, womens soccer, and softball, except for Big Sky (they have no baseball and I need to do some work to handle 2 divisions in the standings like they use for some sports)
Consistent picture.  Very little standings shuffling from year to year in the Summit League compared to OVC and Big Sky.

*** UPDATE ***  added capability to handle Big Sky divisional standings and I expanded analysis to ALL data available on the conference sites, even back to when Centennary and Southern Utah were in the Summit League.  Were those years the "good ole days" for us?  Mens Basketball and other sports shuffle numbers did go up a bit with the additional data (original 5 year data left below).  However, baseball shuffle number actually went down when looking at the longer trend data.  That is the ORU domination effect kicking in no doubt.  But still not near as much standings shuffling as the other two conferences.

SUMMIT MBBALL = (1.96, 0.62)
SUMMIT WBBALL = (1.65, 0.65)
SUMMIT MSOC = (1.48, 0.76)
SUMMIT WSOC = (1.8, 0.64)
SUMMIT BASEBALL = (1.17, 0.71)
SUMMIT SOFTBALL = (1.48, 0.59)
SUMMIT WVBALL = (1.45, 0.29)

BIGSKY MBBALL = (2.51, 0.86)
BIGSKY WBBALL = (2.42, 0.44)
BIGSKY WSOC = (2.58, 0.62)
BIGSKY SOFTBALL = (1.5, 0.43)
BIGSKY WVBALL = (1.87, 0.54)

OVC MBBALL = (2.75, 0.53)
OVC WBBALL = (2.36, 0.64)
OVC WSOC = (2.79, 0.49)
OVC SOFTBALL = (2.94, 0.92)
OVC WVBALL = (2.86, 0.58)

Just the 5 year data is below:

SUMMIT MBB = (1.65, 0.28)
SUMMIT WBB = (1.34, 0.58)
SUMMIT VB = (1.3, 0.14)
SUMMIT BB = (1.23, 0.49)
SUMMIT WSOC = (1.25, 0.34)
SUMMIT SB = (1.31, 0.75)

BIGSKY MBB = (2.36, 0.84)
BIGSKY WBB = (2.05, 0.35)
BIGSKY VB = (1.88, 0.52)

OVC MBB = (2.63, 0.39)
OVC WBB = (2.15, 0.71)
OVC VB = (2.21, 0.66)
OVC BB = (3.34, 0.56)
OVC WSOC = (2.26, 0.59)
OVC SB = (2.58, 0.43)
