Still sad that it not noted, at least a link to the Athletics post, on the WIU homepage.

From the Western Illinois Football Alumni:

Leathernecks are down a man today. Last night 2021 All MVFC Honorable Mention OLB Hunter Mason passed away. Hunter was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in April. A December ‘21 grad, he had two years of eligibility left. Thank you for being a 'Neck! Rest In Peace #36 🙏

This thread will be stickied (stay at the top of the forum section) for 1 year. I know there's already a Hunter Mason Scholarship Fund for his HS, but if anyone happens to see anything else in memory of Hunter...scholarship at Western, special patch or sticker that the team might be wearing on their uniforms or helmets this fall, etc...or if there's any other news or anything, please post it here.

I've heard rumbles of helmet stickers after fall camp.

It was a beautiful service for Hunter today in Nevada, MO.  There must have been well over 1,000 people in attendance.  Lot's of current and former players joined; they had a section in the front middle reserved for them.  Coach Elliott gave a moving Eulogy, as did Hunter's HS Coach.  Coach Hendrickson brought several players from Macomb in a school shuttle bus, which he himself drove.  Shows what a class act he is!  He truly loves our boys, they are in good hands.  The program also picked up the tab for hotel rooms for the boys.

I know I'm picky and too detail oriented, but could someone change the header for this column to  "2022" instead of "2002"?

I see that the Football Posters have the black circle "HM / 36".

Do the football jerseys have anything on them ????
