Massey has Southern ranked at #233.  Only OVC team higher than that is Morehead St (212).  We knocked off a pretty good team tonight. 

Really solid win Southern beat UNLV pretty handily. Still gotta take care of the ball and hit free throws 

Western wins 88-80 in overtime.

James Dent, Jr led the Western scoring with 24 points.

Was surprised to hear during the game that Southern smoked UNLV earlier this season as noted above. Boudreau noted on the post game show that a friend of his is an assistant on UNLV and he just told Chad, "Good Luck" in terms of playing Southern.

Boudreau also said on the post game interview, that he thinks if Southern was in the OVC they would be favored to win the conference. So yeah i think it was a good win also, especially coming back at the end to tie it. Big time 3-pointer by KJ Lee down the stretch.

they did improve on TO's in the 2nd half, but they still are shaky on free throws.

Looking at Southern's roster they have a former Leatherneck, Dreshawn Allen played for WIU back in 2019-2020.

Very nice team win over a very good team. I am not sure if we would have been able to beat a team like this last year with all their quickness. The defense was very well played, but Southern made a lot of tough contested shots. Free throw shooting other than Dent was subpar. Love the shot blocking.
