Bombers upset Manuel

Macomb upset state favorite Peoria Manuel after trailing by 14 after three quarters. the Bombers will take on Rockridge in a sectional championship. It will be a rematch of the western holiday tournament in which rockridge won a defensive battle.

Macomb beat Rockridge tonight, putting them in the Elite 8.

They will play Williamsville on Monday at 6pm at the BOS center in Springfield.

Macomb loses to Williamsville 36-32.

Macomb came out strong and lead 16-2 at the end of the first quarter. 

Prime example how playing keep away does not work.

Williamsville out-scored Macomb 16-5 in the final period.

Williamsville scored 14 points off Macomb’s 13 turnovers.

“I thought they got a little complacent,” the Williamsville Coach said of Macomb. “They almost were stalling a little bit. It kind of did us a favor. We held them to single digits in three of the four quarters."

Yep, they pretty much gave that one away. Oh, well. I don't think anyone expected them to even get this far, so kudos to the Bombers on a great season, and a nice post-season run!
