With the "excitement" of a 4-win season, I kinda forgot about this part.

O-Lineman Ryan Merklinger has entered the transfer portal

Merklinger spent time at Valpo prior to joining the Leathernecks this last year as a senior. He played in all 12 games.

Yeah, I wonder how many will enter the portal. We also are losing a lot of seniors, if I remember correctly. I miss when players committed for the full 4 years.

So, I see a topic has been started on new commits - does anyone have any clues as to how many of the current roster (that still have eligibility, obviously) are planning to be back?

Didn't want to start a new thread, but 2 guys aren't transferring but won't be back even though they could Foote (OL) and Tre Henry both announced they are turning pro.

Looks like he came to us last year after spending time at College of DuPage. Was the long snapper in all 11 games in 2023, but didn't play this year, with long snapping duties being turned over to Sophomore Ben Bergfeld.
