OVC news

I am not a "smart" person, we have ample evidence on this board alone to confirm that.

I struggle to understand where is the right place for a thread about WESTERN and the OVC?

Anyway, Denver leaving the Summit there are dueling Low Major D-I conferences trying to get members. Oral Roberts, and Kansas City look like very attractive dance partners for the OVC

I might be wrong but I think UNLV had been dogging UMKC for years for infringement . Yeah, if you say it fast they sound very much the same. UNLV wanted to protect their brand

Kansas City Roos it is.

Honestly, there’s 3 different sub-forums where WIU/OVC discussion fits. I don’t think a lot of people check the non-WIU sub-forums at the bottom though.

It’s really looking like there might only be 1 survivor between the OVC and Summit League. We have to wait and see what SEMO/UTM and ORU/UST do.

The Summit League is probably going to target Lindenwood/SIUE. If the Summit League gets them, the OVC is toast. If the OVC holds onto them, the Summit League is in trouble if ORU/UST leave.

Lots of moving parts.

OVC president resigning,

ST Lawson knew me when I was a healthy man. ST Lawson goes back to at least The agitator on AGS forum  fromCedar Rapids. Holy crap has UNI fallen on their face. 2010 I meant.

ST Lawson was legit back then. He is ligit now. Legit in my world means you have stayed with or advocated for a team regardless  of the on field performance be it good or not good.

So, where I would generally put something like this is either under the non-western sports section (while it is WIU-adjacent, there is no news of WIU specifically moving conferences yet), or under Leatherneck Athletics (since it is getting fairly close to the point where we might have to be making a move or might be forced to go somewhere else).

I went ahead and moved this thread from "Western News" (which I intended to be more of non-athletics university-specific news) into "Leatherneck Athletics" (topics relating to our athletics department as a whole or things that don't really fall into a sport-specific category). Hopefully that helps clear things up.
