Changes to eligibility rules - https://www.cbssports.com/college-footb ... asketball/
Essentially, no redshirt anymore. Players will have a flat five years of eligibility to be completed within five years of HS graduation or an athlete's 19th birthday, whichever comes first.
This will have a pretty big change on how long players can play (and how old they can be). No more waivers and exceptions giving players 6 or 7 years, or not counting JuCo years against eligibility.
Also, some proposed modifications to the FCS calendar that would take effect next January: https://www.ncaa.org/news/2026/6/24/med ... endar.aspx
