Campus Improvements - Sherman Hall Cupola

They've started work on the Sherman Hall Cupola Restoration:

There's scaffolding up and around it, and they've turned off/shut down the chimes/speakers for likely most of the summer until the work is complete.

Looks like it won't be ready for Homecoming due to unexpected issues when they "peeled back" some of the outer layers:

Just got this:
WIU Facilities Management is happy to report that the repairs to the Sherman Hall cupola are complete and the scaffolding will be disassembled early the week of December 14th. We are currently being told by the contractor that a crane will be needed to move the scaffolding material from the roof to the ground potentially on Tuesday, December 15th, or Wednesday, December 16th, depending on how the dis-assembly progresses. Please be patient with us during the increased activity in the parking lot immediately north of Sherman Hall during this time frame. The contractors hope to be completely off site by the end of next week.
